Coach education & development is is all about us coming to your club and designing a session to help your coaches This comprehensive program goes beyond drills and game strategy, providing you with the knowledge and tools to create a fun, safe, and effective learning environment. Our goal is to help you develop the skills to not only coach the game but to coach the person. Why Youth Sports Matter This course will explore the core reasons why children play sport. We will delve into the psychology of youth sport, examining motivations such as: Social Connection, Fun and Enjoyment, Skill Development, Competence and Belonging, Mental Health & Competiveness We will also address the critical question of why kids stop playing sport, looking at factors such as excessive pressure, a lack of enjoyment, and poor experiences. Coaching Philosophy We will guide you in developing your own coaching philosophy. We will explore the values and principles that are most important to you as a coach. Understanding your "why" will provide a consistent framework for all your coaching decisions help you build a positive and sustainable team culture. Skill development & Kicking Technique We will provide a deep dive into the fundamental skill of kicking and skill development across different age groups. You will learn how to teach kicking and basic skill development to juniors, using a step-by-step approach that focuses on repetition and positive reinforcement. Constructing an Effective Training Session Learn the art of session planning. This module covers how to construct a purposeful and engaging training session from start to finish. Design drills that are fun, skill-specific, and relevant to the age group. Manage your time effectively Incorporate small-sided games to practice skills in a dynamic, game-like setting. Structure a session that is both challenging and enjoyable for all players, regardless of skill level. Junior Team Game Plans We will teach you how to develop a game plan for junior teams that is simple, effective, and easy for kids to understand. Putting Theory into Practice This is where the learning comes to life. You will be asked to plan a training session under the guidance of our experienced instructors, allowing you to put the theory into practice in a safe and supportive environment.
